let’s turn the volume up on the color! simply cinema is bright, bold and beautiful. i had to create a design to match. to keep costs down we used a prefab design i had already created and we were able to customize the look to match their brand… done!

i’ve started it, we finish it. smaller budgets going farther.
this is the more cost effective product. the intent was to create a product that allowed clients with smaller budgets for particular projects to have their budgets go farther. instead of spending budget on layout & code, we spend it on design/branding definition and strategy.
the unreadymades uses an existing layout i’ve already created and it’s customized (design treatment, colors, textures, styles etc.) so that it looks unique for each project.

this was a project for my cousin jennifer. she’s a brilliant writer + editor and needed help getting herself out to the market. she let me step outside my normal ‘neutral’ color scheme and do something more dramatic.

as you may have seen, a lot of my work tends to be lighter in tone and texture, in this case, i decided to throw myself into the dark. it was a good exercise for me. i found myself stuck a few times, wanting to go to lighter and brighter ideas. i held to it and am really happy with the design direction.
this site is probably going to be used for my cousin, jennifer howard’s freelance writing business. she lives in colorado and i love her to death. i’m so glad to be able to help her. there will be more to come here in the coming weeks.

here’s where i’ve had a chance to have a lot of fun with color! jami hosts a series of after-school art exploration classes. she allows the kids to play in a lot of mediums that go beyond the typical art class. with this project, she let me come in and take pictures of the class in action. i then took the pictures and applied a custom set of photoshop actions to make them feel more like a “child’s memory” – colorful & detailed.
