so miss mad’s wants to be a baker… she’s well on her way.
she found this recipe online and started baking away. as i’m writing this she’s telling me to let you all know she modified the bake time down to 9 minutes :) oh’ and she made them smaller. they were (yes, i said ‘were’ as there aren’t anymore left) so good. there will be more to come as she’s working on her own collection of recipes.
i’ve seen this book around and feared it was being over “pushed”. that generally means it’s either really good or really bad… in this case – really good! i have folded corners and marked up a few dozen entries and i’m only half way through the book. here are some of my favorites…
“you want to invent new ideas, not new rules.”
“a designer knows he has achieved perfection not when there is nothing left to add, but when’s there is nothing left to take away.”
“the more we reduce the amount of information in an idea,
the stickier it will be.”
this was a great project to work with. taryn & jeff are so much fun and full of energy. if you want to see videos, we have a lot! there is a set of featured videos in the screening room and they are almost adding them daily to the matching blog we created.
“better than coffee” – this is what i’m listening to tonight while getting all your projects done in the late hours. speaking of which, i’ve been quite busy over the last month and there will be a lot of new projects to post!

having the opportunity to do what I love (business + strategy + design) and to work with these clients has been a life (and career) changing experience.
i have had the pleasure to help with one of their most valued assets - their businesses! together we have taken their web sites far beyond what they even thought was possible. to me, all of this speaks volumes especially since so many of my accounts are referrals.
many of these people have gone from great clients to dear friends. not only do i frequently dine & entertain with them, play with their kids, take vacations with them and i have even been to a few of their weddings!
